Over official summer’s last weekend, the political / poli-sci list seems to be a blend of new titles and a potpourri of books (mostly conservative, mostly from Regnery) that look to be a reading list for those Republicans eager to bone up on the contenders mixing it up in the Republican 2012 presidential contest, as well as any title that smacks of anti-Obamaism, whether the title seems slightly offensive (Freddodo) or plain outlandish (Breitbart).

It can be said with some certainty, though, that most of the book sales in that latter category were the product of bulk sales — bookstores are not being inundated with folks looking for these titles, as most are from early this year ...and in the case of Colin Powell, a loooong time ago.
