At 8:30 a.m. — The Labor Department releases weekly jobless claims.

At 8:30 a.m. — The Labor Department releases the producer price index for March. Analysts expect data to show that wholesale prices rose 1.1 percent in March, driven almost entirely by higher food and energy prices. The producer price index is forecast to have risen 0.2 percent.

At 10 a.m. — The House Financial Services subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations holds a hearing on the Financial Stability Oversight Council.

At 2 p.m. — The House Financial Services subcommittee on capital markets holds a hearing on risk retention.
