At 8:30 a.m. — The Labor Department releases data on weekly initial jobless claims.

At 8:30 a.m. — The Labor Department releases the Consumer Price Index for February. Forecasters expect the CPI to rise to 0.4 percent.

At 9:15 a.m. — The Federal Reserve releases industrial production numbers.

At 9:30 a.m. — The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee holds a hearing to examine current global investment trends in clean energy technologies and the impact of domestic policies on that investment.

At 10 a.m. — The Conference Board releases data on leading indicators for February.
