At 8:30 a.m. — The Commerce Department releases durable-goods orders for February. Analysts expect a 1.2 percent gain. That follows a 3.6 percent rise in January.

At 7:30 p.m. — Federal Reserve Governor Elizabeth Duke speaks at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to the Virginia Association of Economists on "The Impact of the Financial Crisis on Wealth."
