The Washington Post

Who’s on first in Tampa?

I figured this out in the following interaction with a very helpful convention guide who was trying really hard to send me in the right direction.

Our interaction went something like this:

“I want to go to the Convention Center.”

“That’s behind you, where you just walked out.”

“But I want to go to where the convention is meeting.”

“Oh, that’s this way.” He pointed opposite the building I just walked out of. “You want the Forum.”

“But I just walked out of the Convention Center, right?”

“Yes, but the convention is in the Tampa Bay Times Forum.”

“So the convention is not in the Convention Center.”
