Hey, so, are you overdosing on the elevator beatdown of music mogul Jay Z by his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, while his wife, Beyoncé, stood by? Have you watched the leaked surveillance video so many times that you and your friends are now doing reenactments? Well, I’ve got a piece of information that will only enhance your obsession.

TMZ got a hold of the surveillance video from the Standard Hotel High Line, where the trio gathered for the Met Gala after-party on May 5. The leaked black-and-white video shows Beyoncé’s sister getting in Jay Z’s face and then getting physical with him. Solange Knowles kicked him, threw punches at him and even swatted him with her purse.

Because there’s no audio in the surveillance video, you can’t hear what music might be playing in the elevator while this is going on. That rectangular box aglow behind Jay-Z’s head is the surreal 2012 video installation called “Creation,” the third of the Megaplex trilogy by artist Marco Brambilla. The fabulous four-minute loop is set to Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s “Cinderella Waltz.” Play this while watching the Jay Z-Solange showdown.

I know this because the Standard Hotel is a home away from home for me in the city. I’ve stayed there so many times in the last year that I know every second of that video and the music that goes with it. And let me tell you, if any part of “Cinderella’s Waltz” was playing during the Jay Z-Solange spectacle, it was even more surreal than you can imagine.

Hmm, I wonder if this is going to get me in trouble with the Beygency. . . .
