Five days after the U.S. was roundly criticized for not sending a high-ranking official to the Paris unity march, Secretary of State John Kerry flew in today to make amends. Not only did he give the French “a big hug,” but Kerry also brought along singer James Taylor, who sang his 45-year-old hit “You’ve got a friend.” Nice gesture, but seriously?! Perhaps the whole thing would have been less cringe-worthy if Kerry brought someone else.

Who would you have brought?

Which entertainer should John Kerry have taken with him to France?
