Beth Myers’s tweets: Veep prospects or just Follow Friday?

Could it be a list of potential veep nominees? Or just a regular old friendly Follow Friday?

Beth Myers (Elise Amendola/AP)

Top Romney veep vetter Beth Myers on Friday afternoon sent out two tweets accompanied by a “#FF” -- the popular hashtag used by Twitter users to recommend other tweeters to follow.

Among the 13 names she tweeted out were several of the top contenders said to be in the running for the job of Romney’s running mate.

Myers (whose Twitter handle is @BethMyers2012) first tweeted:

“#FF @robportman @bobmcdonnell @CondoleezzaRice @johnthune @Gov_Martinez @RickSantorum.”

She then sent out a second tweet:

“#FF @KellyAyotte @timpawlenty @GovChristie @BobbyJindal @marcorubio @RepPaulRyan @NewtGingrich.”

The tweets -- which include some names that are unlikely to be on Romney’s shortlist -- were swiftly retweeted by reporters and aides to the presumptive GOP nominee.

We’re still standing by for a direct message, but in the meantime, we’ll take what we can get.
