10,000 without power in western Maryland

The company says it had more than 26,000 outages at one point. Potomac Edison is the dominant utility in western Maryland.

In central Maryland, Baltimore Gas and Electric reported about 120 customers without power late Sunday morning. Pepco reported less than 50 outages in the Washington area. Outages were much more extensive farther north. About 2.7 million lost power throughout the Northeast as the unseasonably early storm dumped heavy, wet snow over the weekend.
