81-year-old dies in Montgomery, foul play possible

An 81-year-old man was found dead in his home in upper Montgomery County, under what appeared to be suspicious circumstances, the county police said.

They said Nazir Ahmed was found shortly after 5 p.m. Friday in the 19500 block of Olney Mill Road.

Police said they went there after receiving a report of “a suspicious situation.” They said they found evidence leading them “to believe that foul play was involved.”

Further details could not be released Saturday to preserve the integrity of the investigation, the police said.

They said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.

Public records indicated that the man had lived for about 30 years on Olney Mill Road, on a st reet of closely spaced single family houses with large backyards.
