A search was underway Friday evening for an employee of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission who had not returned from working his shift at the Triadelphia Watershed in Montgomery County. The missing employee had been working as part of a managed hunt for deer at the site in Brookeville and may have been working in a boat, according to preliminary reports received by police.

The WSSC Police were coordinating with Maryland State Police and police and rescue teams from Montgomery County to search several thousand heavily wooded acres. The identity of the missing man and details about the circumstances that led to the search were being withheld by WSSC pending notification of the employee’s family, said Kira Lewis, a spokeswoman for the WSSC.
