Vice President Joe Biden visited the Alexandra Police department in support of the American Jobs Act on Thursday and recognized the department for receiving a grant of more than $850,000 to expand its force.

As reported by The Washington Post’s Maggie Fazeli Fard: “Law enforcement has no greater champion than the vice president," Alexandria police chief Earl Cook said before Biden spoke.
