UPDATE (4:00 p.m.): Sandbags have run out and workers are turning people away from the lines. Anyone in line as of 3 p.m. should be able to get a bag, according to the D.C. Department of Public Works
After depleting a supply of 7,000 sandbags Friday, the District Department of Public Works distributed 2,000 more sandbags Saturday morning and is readying another 5,000 for pickup at RFK Stadium’s Lot 7, according to the agency.
Public Works will continue distribution until the sandbags run out.
Residents must show proof of residency in D.C. and are limited to five bags per household.
