District will seek $15 million in disaster aid for National Cathedral

District Mayor Vincent C. Gray announced Thursday that he will request a federal disaster declaration on Friday to help pay for repairs to city facilities and the National Cathedral in the wake of the Aug. 23 earthquake.

Officials said that if the request was granted the city would ask for $7 million to make repairs in the city and $15 million for the cathedral.
