A truck ran into a house Sunday afternoon in the Woodlawn/Cheverly area just east of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Prince George’s County, authorities said.

The vehicle, which appeared to be an ice cream truck, struck a house in the 4800 block of 66th Avenue, said county fire department spokesman Mark E. Brady.

He said the driver of the truck was taken to a hospital after the 3 p.m. crash. No one was in the house at the time, Brady said. It was not clear why the truck left the roadway.
