A motorcyclist was fatally injured after he collided with a car on the Beltway Tuesday evening, police said.

The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m., on the outer loop near Route 50 in Prince George’s County.

According to Maryland State Police, the motorcycle hit a disabled car that had stopped in the middle lane.

The identity of the man on the motorcycle has not been released.

The accident caused traffic delays on the Beltway into the early morning.

Hours earlier, another motorcyclist was killed in Northeast D.C. when he struck a tow truck towing a disabled school bus.
