Friendship Collegiate’s Eddie Goldman to visit Miami

Friendship Collegiate lineman Eddie Goldman, one of the nation’s most coveted recruits, said he will take an official visit to Miami this weekend.

Goldman, a 6-foot-4 315-pound senior, has already taken three other official visits. The senior’s first official visit was a trip to Florida State on Sept. 17 to watch the Seminoles’ game against Oklahoma. He took an official visit to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU game on Nov. 5. His third trip was a Nov. 26 visit to Auburn for its game against Alabama.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Miami are among Goldman’s list of seven finalists, along with California, Clemson and Maryland.

Goldman said California or Clemson could be his final official visit. Recruits are allowed to take five officials visits.

Goldman, a District native, grew up a Miami fan, watching their games weekly as a child with his father. Despite the school’s ongoing NCAA investigation, Goldman long said he would still consider Miami.
