The Maryland football team continues its strong recruiting in Georgia this offseason.
On Wednesday night, the Terps got a verbal commitment from wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo of McEachern High in Powder Springs, about 20 miles west of Atlanta.
Etta-Tawo, who is 6 feet 3 and 178 pounds, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he picked Maryland over Virginia. He had 10 scholarship offers.
“Maryland’s offense is a great fit for me,” Etta-Towa told the AJC. “The type of scheme they run is perfect for the type of receiver that I am.”
Etta-Tawo is the fourth player from Georgia to commit to Coach Randy Edsall and his staff this offseason – the same number of players from Maryland that have committed to the Terps.
