Jenkins is expected to miss the rest of the summer AAU circuit after breaking his pinky finger a few weeks ago, but Gonzaga Coach Steve Turner said this weekend that won’t stop the talented 6-6 forward from shortening his list by next month.

Turner indicated Jenkins currently has about 20 scholarship offers, including Villanova, Miami, Xavier, South Carolina, Clemson, Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State and George Washington. Jenkins has also been on the radar screen of Georgetown, Ohio State and Louisville since averaging 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and four assists per game this past winter.

“He’s got some decisions he’s got to start making,” said Turner, who coached the USA East team that included DeMatha’s BeeJay Anya at this past weekend’s Nike Global Challenge in Alexandria and Washington.

Turner added that he expects Jenkins will take official visits this fall after sitting down with his parents, and plans to make a decision before the high school season begins. Jenkins could make an even bigger splash this year since former teammate and North Carolina commit Nate Britt recently transferred to Oak Hill for his senior year.
