Good Counsel DT Roderick Chungong chooses Georgia Tech

Take one of Good Counsel’s star football players off the recruiting boards.

Defensive lineman Roderick Chungong, who is 6 feet 3 and 255 pounds, on Tuesday committed to play for Georgia Tech, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Chungong also held scholarship offers from North Carolina, Nebraska, Michigan State and Purdue, among others.

“We value him pretty highly,” Good Counsel Coach Bob Milloy said last month. “You hear about [Maryland recruit Michael] Madaras and [Ryan] Watson because those guys are three-year starters and Chungong didn’t start until his junior year, but I think he’s pretty good.”

Watson, All-Met wide receiver Stefon Diggs and running back Wes Brown are among the Falcons’ seniors yet to make their college choices.
