It has been a busy week for Hylton junior linebacker E.J. Levenberry, who took an unofficial visit to Tennessee this past weekend to see the Volunteers play second-ranked Louisiana State and has picked up four more scholarship offers from top programs.
According to Eric Levenberry, the player’s father, Levenberry has recently received verbal scholarship offers from Penn State, Notre Dame, LSU and, Wednesday, Michigan.
Levenberry visited Penn State two weeks ago and also received a verbal scholarship offer from Maryland. He will visit Florida State this weekend.
Colleges cannot make formal, written scholarship offers to recruits until just before their senior year.
Levenberry also was invited to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
Levenberry’s top six schools under consideration are Oklahoma, Florida State, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and LSU.
Fifth-ranked Hylton (7-0) plays at Woodbridge on Friday.
