Since making an initial splash by landing a recruit his first week on the job, Maryland Coach Mark Turgeon continue to make inroads in recruiting, continually listed among the final chocies for many top prospects.

One more player to add to that list is 6-foot-7 forward Daniel Dingle from St. Raymond’s High in the Bronx, who on Thursday had the Terrapins among his final seven choices, according to

Dana Dingle, Daniel’s older brother and the former U-Mass. standout, said that Daniel’s final choices also inclue Temple, Auburn, Arizona, U-Mass., Seton Hall and Missouri.

“He’s going to do those [seven] home visits in September when school starts,” Dana Dingle told “And after those seven home visits, he will choose three schools to take official visits in October. And after he takes those three, he will see how it goes. If he likes one of them, then he will commit and sign. If not then he will choose two more and go from there.”
