Seth Allen and Sam Cassell Jr. set to attend Maryland’s Midnight Madness

Maryland will host a pair of seniors and several underclassmen on Friday at its Midnight Madness event.

One of the seniors is Fredericksburg Christian guard Seth Allen, who committed to the Terrapins in May, just days after Coach Mark Turgeon was hired.

The other senior is uncommitted guard Sam Cassell Jr., a Baltimore native who is a postgraduate student at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.

The younger Cassell played as a junior at St. Frances before transferring to Notre Dame for his senior year in 2010-11. He enjoyed a strong summer on the travel-team circuit, generating interest from several ACC and Big East schools.
