As a sophomore, Allen set Bulldogs career and single season records with 20 sacks and eight forced fumbles. This season he saw more double teams and finished with 102 tackles (73 first-hit), 15 sacks, two forced fumbles and seven blocked kicks.

Entering the season Allen had just a handful of offers, but that list has grown during his junior year.

With offers from Virginia, Maryland, Oklahoma, Stanford, North Carolina, N.C. State, Penn State, Rutgers, Boston College and Wake Forest, the 6-3, 225-pound Allen recently added two more to the list: Tennessee and Michigan.

As the recruiting process picks up, Allen said he’ll likely take some time to pare down his choices so he can better evaluate each program.

To this point, the junior has taken only one unofficial visit, to N.C. State, and he said he’d like to return there for another visit as well as possible some others.

“I plan on visiting N.C. State again, I like them,” Allen said. “Oklahoma and maybe Stanford. I’m not sure yet.”
