Jobs come and go, but the Washington book party is forever. Vivian Schiller, who just got fired by NPR, will still host a book party at her Bethesda home Thursday for Steven Rosenbaum, author of “Curation Nation.” “There are some people who aren’t bowed by adversity. Instead, they focus and remain steadfast,” Rosenbaum e-mailed to the invitees Wednesday, just hours after her abrupt ouster. Schiller, he wrote, is “not about to let today’s headlines deter her, or us. . . Vivian says she now has more time to prepare for the party.”
