Little Richard in concert Saturday. (Josh Sisk for The Washington Post)

Little Richard rolling on into the Old Country Buffet at Fairfax’s Fair City Mall Saturday afternoon. The rock-and-roll pioneer — in the area for his Howard Theatre show that night — came in with a large suit-and-tie’d entourage, chatted for about 10 minutes with a 91-year-old fan about age and music and health; apologized for sitting in a wheelchair on account of his bad hip (at his concert, he was regally carried on and off stage). Also dined at the same down-home chain restaurant on Friday evening; told a manager he prefers to eat where the locals eat.
