Hey, isn’t that...?: Jane Lynch; Diana Krall

• Jane Lynch hailing a cab at 15th and New York near the White House Wednesday afternoon, with what looked like her family (another woman, two girls). Coral top, tailored black pants. The "Glee" star, in town for a 90th birthday tribute to Norman Lear, later tweeted a photo of herself chowing down with other People for the American Way supporters at Bethesda Crab House.

• Diana Krall dining with a party of five at the Prime Rib Wednesday night — and taking a turn at the piano to entertain the rest of the room. The singer, in town to perform at Wolf Trap, performed Martha Wainwright’s “Ain't No Sweet Man Worth the Salt of my Tears,” then joined house pianist Ramon Ballve for a jazz improv duet.
