• Dominique Strauss-Kahn met face-to-face Thursday with the French journalist who says he tried to rape her in 2003. The meeting at a Paris police station was set up to help prosecutors decide whether to pursue charges. The former IMF chief — who returned to France after a Manhattan court dropped charges that he assaulted a hotel maid — left the meeting smiling. But the journalist, Tristane Banon told Reuters that Strauss-Kahn smugly avoidly her stare. “He didn’t even look at me,” she said. Strauss-Kahn has denied Banon’s story as “imaginary.”
