Hillary Clinton will lead the official U.S. delegation to the funeral of Václav Havel, the White House announced Thursday. The secretary of state will be joined by Bill Clinton — they hosted the late former president of the Czech Republic at a 1998 state dinner — as well as Madeleine Albright and Ambassador Norman Eisen, the U.S. envoy in Prague. Will Lou Reed attend the Friday ceremony as well? The former Velvet Underground frontman — who had a longtime mutual admiration society with the former Velvet Revolution leader — eulogized Havel on his blog this week as “great great man who was necessary more than ever in a world gone mad. I would so much have loved to bring him up to date on Occupy. I admired him before all others.”
