• A freelance photographer was hit and killed New Year’s Day when he crossed a busy L.A. roadway in an attempt to snap a picture of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari, reports the L.A. Times. • Bobby Womack says he’s been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s. The R&B legend, 68, told a BBC interviewer that he has a hard time remembering his hits (notably, “It’s All Over Now,” covered by the Rolling Stones) or collaborators (he recently blanked on the name of the producer of his new comeback album). “How can I not remember songs that I wrote? That’s frustrating.”
