Orson Welles
’s Oscar for writing “Citizen Kane” will go up for auction in L.A. this month, reports Reuters. The statuette — subject of a long legal battle between the late filmmaker’s daughter and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which tried to stop her from selling it — failed to get its reserve price when it last went on the block in 2007. This time it will have a minimum price somewhere between $600K and $1 million.
