Baldwin vs. N.Y. Post

The New York Post is accusing actor Alec Baldwin of verbally assaulting Post reporter Tara Palmeri and staff photog G.N. Miller. Palmeri and Miller approached the “30 Rock” star Sunday while he was walking his dogs near his East 10th Street residence in Manhattan. Palmeri stopped Baldwin to inquire about the recent lawsuit against his wife, Hilaria. Hilaria, a yoga instructor, is being sued by a student who injured himself at the Yoga Vida studio Jan. 15.

Palmeri said Baldwin told her “I want you to choke to death” and grabbed her by her arm. Baldwin then turned on Miller, who is African American, calling him a racial epithet, a “drug dealer” and a “crackhead.”

Baldwin tweeted his side of the story Sunday evening, denying that he said any racial slurs. “Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came 2 my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post ‘photographer’ who assaulted me,” Baldwin said. A source close to Baldwin said that the actor treats paparazzi with such disdain regularly. “ ‘I hope you choke to death’ and calling them drug dealers is what he always says to the paparazzi,” the source said.
