Turns out a couple other key operatives had hair at stake in the race. Sean Spicer and Brad Woodhouse — the battling spokesmen for the RNC and DNC who are secretly friends in real life — challenged each other over Twitter on the morning of Election Day: Loser would allow the winner to shave his scalp on TV.
Hey, what gives?: Last we saw, Spicer still had hair. Turns out he and Woodhouse are also charity-minded and decided to both shave their heads to benefit St. Baldrick’s, a children’s cancer foundation, to be broadcast on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday. As both set out to solicit pals Monday, Spicer insisted that it was Woodhouse’s idea to join him in baldness.
“Winter and holiday season were not the times I would have chosen,” Spicer told us, seeming to shiver already. So why’d you make that bet? “I had my map at about 300 electoral votes,” he sighed. “I felt really good about our ground game.”
