— A rep for the estate of the late Jimi Hendrix to Rolling Stone, upon hearing that a new biopic of the guitar wizard will not include any Jimi Hendrix music. Producers, bypassed the need to negotiate for his songs by focusing the movie on his pre-fame years; the soundtrack will instead feature star Andre Benjamin’s new recording of classic songs by the Beatles, Muddy Waters and others.
