The USA Olympic basketball players — in town for an exhibition game Monday at the Verizon Center-- were hard to miss in D.C. over the weekend:

LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul (plus bodyguard) went to Johnny Rocket’s in Georgetown Friday for burgers, shakes, and fries. Alonzo Mourning and Patrick Ewing (stars of the 1992 Dream Team) dined at District Commons Saturday night. Coach Mike Krzyzewski returned to Cafe Milano Sunday with team staff; Kobe Bryant was at another table with friends and Deron Williams and Russell Westbrook sat across the room.

James dominated the late-night scene celebrating the Miami Heat’s championship at Opera Ultra Lounge Friday and a White Party at the Howard Theatre Saturday with Kevin Durant, James Harden and rapper Wale. How do you get James to show up? A member of his entourage finds hot restaurants and bars in every city he plays, according to Opera’s VIP manager Rafi Aldajani. James came in with Redskins player Pierre Garcon and former QB Donovan McNabb just before midnight and stayed two hours; didn’t drink much but autographed a six-liter champagne bottle for charity.
