The Washington Post

Tuesday feature: Free advice for the president

Last week readers chimed in with some smart, free advice on selection of the debt committee members. In today’s free advice feature, we focus on the White House.

President Obama’s speech yesterday was widely panned by liberal and conservative commentators. Some TV pundits suggested he “call” Congress back to D.C. to address the economy. Others think the less said and done inside the Beltway the better. Others want the president to fire Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.

What do you think Obama should do during the next few weeks? (We’re only talking about August here.) Put your recommendations in the comments section. (Conservatives out there, forget “resign” suggestions; Obama is the president we have.) I’ll pick the best response and post it at noon on Wednesday. Have at it!
