Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) hits the nail on the head. ““It’s not just about this allegation that President Trump has made. It’s about the frivolity of it all. I call him the Deflector-in-Chief. He’ll come up with anything to change the subject from something that’s not going well for him…he comes up with these schemes, which are beneath the dignity – not only beneath the dignity of the office of the president, beneath the responsibility of the President of the United States to respect the office he serves in.”
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) hit the bulls-eye. “We have been making tremendous progress in increasing NIH’s budget, and that has helped us develop effective treatments and new cures for very expensive diseases. If we’re serious about reducing health care cuts, the last thing that we should be doing is cutting the budget for biomedical research.”
The usually pro-Trump chairman hit the target. “House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes said Sunday he has still seen no evidence to show Trump Tower was wiretapped after reviewing information from the Department of Justice. ‘Was there a physical wiretap of Trump Tower? No, there never was,’ the California Republican representative told ‘Fox News Sunday.'” Ouch.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) hits it out of the park. “What the President said was just patently false, and the wrecking ball it created now has banged into our British allies and our German allies.”
This act of kindness obviously hit the mark. “People are sending EPA employees chocolate chip cookies and thank you cards.” People in distress need appreciation — and sugar.
