(The ICC: Savior (Mark Gail — The Washington Post))

My conclusion: pretty, with its earth-toned brick and paints, but at 7.2 miles not much of a game changer.

That all changes tomorrow, when the key stretch linking I-270 with I-95 opens. With family in Baltimore, the ICC could shave off hours of travel time from my life every month, and for commuters and other people with business back and forth it will be, hopefully, both a stress reducer and a time increaser.

With any luck, traffic on the Beltway will ease. Even just a tiny bit would be nice. Please.

I’m planning to test-drive the full stretch tomorrow but I want to hear from you in the comments below: How will the ICC change (or not change) your life? Did we really need this road?
