Looking to stand out among the slew of sundresses this wedding season? Good news — Princess Beatrice’s scene-stealing fascinator will soon be available for auction on eBay.
Proceeds from the towering Philip Treacy headdress will benefit UNICEF and Children in Crisis, according to an announcement made by the princess’ mother, Sarah Ferguson, during an Oprah interview.
The starting price of the hat hasn’t been revealed, but similar Treacy fascinators go for ₤459-₤2,000 (about $653-$2,847) on Harrods.com. Granted these particular toppers haven’t inspired Facebook groups or Internet memes, so we’re anticipating a heftier price tag for Bea’s custom creation.
If you can’t cough up the cash for the original, you can still play the part with a $9.99 paper version, also for sale on eBay. The seller’s product description makes it hard to resist: “Capture the ‘royal style’ in this suave paper hat guaranteed to amaze strangers and send rivals into fits of jealous rage ... Waggles a bit when you strut.”
