Prince William drove Kate out of Buckingham Palace in a vintage Aston Martin. The convertible’s license plate read “JU5T WED.”

Prince William and his new wife shared two kisses on a Buckingham Palace balcony. The couple, who appeared shortly before 8:30 a.m. EDT, waved to the crowd of well-wishers who had gathered. The new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince Harry and other members of the royal wedding party.

The couple kissed twice. The first kiss was a short, polite affair, which didn’t seem to please the crowd. William and Kate relented, kissing a second time. As the newlyweds kissed and waved, a Royal Air Force jet flew overhead.

Prince William and Catherine rode through the streets of London in a carriage escorted by the Household Cavalry, as royal watchers cheered the couple. The recently wed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are headed to Buckingham Palace for their reception.

The Right Rev. Richard Chartres, bishop of London, presented the address at the royal wedding.

Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton gave the Bible verse reading at the royal wedding.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were married by the Most Rev. Rowan Williams, archbishop of Canterbury, this morning at Westminster Abbey. The royal couple said traditional wedding vows and exchanged rings.
