Editors must be running out of ways to portray Hillary Rodham Clinton on the covers of their magazines. Last week, it was Time Magazine with Clinton as a disembodied, blue pants suit clad giant towering over the Democratic field.
This week it’s the New York Times Magazine with a deeply weird depiction of one of the most famous women on the planet (pun intended).

What are these covers trying to tell us? That Hillary is big and powerful? That it’s her world and everyone else is just living in it? Kind of like 2008?
Buzzfeed has some other ideas about the “Planet Hillary” cover.
UPDATE: The editors at the Times have weighed in with an explanation about what they were going for.
