Midfielder Sacha Kljestan and Belgian champion Anderlecht face Cyprus’ AEL Limassol on Wednesday (2:45 p.m. ET, Fox Soccer Plus, tape at 5 on Fox Soccer).
Bryan Gerzicich, a 28-year-old midfielder who was born in California but raised in Argentina, is with Israel’s Hapoel Kiryat Shmona for a series against BATE of Belarus beginning Wednesday.

Three Americans are already in the group stage: Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones, Nordsjaelland defender Michael Parkhurst and Zenit St. Petersburg forward Eugene Starikov, who doesn’t play for the first team.
American forward Josh Gatt and Norwegian club Molde were eliminated by Basel in the third qualifying round.
Meantime, forward Conor O’Brien, with Danish club Sonderjyske, became the sixth American abroad to score in recent days with a superb 56th-minute goal against Odense on Monday.
