Brighton’s three own goals in an England FA Cup match against Liverpool

Ah, the embarrassing own goal. Every club has suffered one. On Sunday, second-tier Brighton was hit with three in a 31-minute span during a 6-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in England’s FA Cup. Okay, the first one was bad luck and the defender could hardly be blamed on the second one, but the third was a howler. Video of the Brighton trio.....

As an added bonus, Kakha Kaladze’s own-goal brace for Georgia against Italy in a 2010 World Cup qualifier.....

The record for team own goals? 149. Yes, 149. In 2002, Stade Olymique L’Emyrne of Madagascar protested a referee’s decision in a previous match by thumping the ball into its own net every 36.24 seconds. The authorities weren’t pleased.
