With Bayern Munich’s victory over Real Madrid on penalty kicks Wednesday, the UEFA Champions League final is set:

(So much for another Barcelona-Real Madrid showdown.)

Chelsea is making its second appearance, having lost to Manchester United on penalties in 2008. Bayern is in its ninth final, with four championships and four second-place finishes. Both squads will play without multiple suspended players, thanks to UEFA’s ridiculous yellow card rule.

Bayern is the first team since Roma in 1984 to host the final, which is staged in a predetermined venue. That year, the Italian side lost to Liverpool on penalties.
