D.C. United at New York Red Bulls

Thanks to the Philadelphia Union’s pummeling of second-place Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night, D.C. United (30 points) was able to retain the top slot in the MLS Eastern Conference heading into this evening’s affair against the third-place New York Red Bulls (27) here in Harrison, N.J.

A sellout crowd of 25,000 is expected for the second meeting between the Atlantic Cup rivals, who collided at RFK Stadium in April — a 4-1 United victory.

United had a week to prepare while the Red Bulls played in Vancouver on Wednesday night. New York is 4-0-2 at home, DCU is 3-3-1 away and boasts a +10 goal difference overall — second in MLS behind San Jose’s +12.

Kickoff: 7:21 p.m. ET.

TV: NBC Sports Network.

Announcers: Arlo White, Kyle Martino.

DCU: Hamid; Russell, McDonald, Jakovic, Woolard; Cruz, Kitchen, De Rosario, DeLeon; Pontius, Salihi. Subs: Willis, Dudar, Saragosa, Neal, Najar, Boskovic, Santos.
