D.C. United vs. Everton friendly

Greetings from toasty RFK Stadium. The air-conditioning isn’t functioning properly in the locker rooms or the team store. No big deal. It’s only 101 degrees. Okay, so each side is permitted as many subs as they’d like. If the match is level after 90 minutes, we’ll play penalties. Why, I’m not sure. No trophy at stake, not part of a tournament.

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET.

TV: Fox Soccer Channel.

DCU LINEUP: Hamid; Korb, Jakovic, McDonald, Burch; Najar, Morsink, King, da Luz; Wolff, Ngwenya. Subs: Cronin, Willis, Woolard, Shanosky, Kitchen, White, Simms, De Rosario, Pontius. (Davies will sit out with a sore knee.)

EVERTON LINEUP: Mucha; Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Distin; Bilyaletdinov, Rodwell, Barkley; Vellios, Cahill, Anichebe. Subs: Heitinga, Beckford, Neville, Gueye, Osman, McAleny, Davies.
