Hope Solo serenaded by Sporting Kansas City rookie C.J. Sapong

Sporting Kansas City rookie forward C.J. Sapong (Washington Post first-team All-Met at Forest Park High School in 2007; James Madison University) meets and greets U.S. national team goalkeeper Hope Solo with a poem/rap/song. Solo and the U.S. squad are in Kansas City for Saturday’s friendly against Canada (7 p.m. ET, Fox Soccer). Sapong gets off to an awkward start, but by the final minute of the video, he’s got it down. Watch his Solo performance:

Steven Goff is The Post’s soccer writer. His beats include D.C. United, MLS and the international game, as well as local college basketball.
