International soccer friendly: United States vs. Mexico at Azteca Stadium

While I am at RFK Stadium covering a doubleheader featuring Guatemala vs. Paraguay and El Salvador against Jamaica, the U.S. national team is at Azteca Stadium seeking its first-ever victory on Mexican soil. It’s just a friendly, but there’s no such thing as a meaningless match between these adversaries.

Kickoff: 8 p.m. ET.

TV: ESPN2, Univision,

USA: Howard; Johnson, Cameron, Edu, Castillo; Jones, Beckerman, Williams, Torres; Donovan, Gomez. Subs: Rimando, Besler, Orozco Fiscal, Beasley, Corona, Shea, Zusi, Wondolowski, Boyd. Not in uniform: Johnson, Beithasour, Gordon.

MEX: Ochoa; Meza, Rodriguez, Moreno, Torres; Barrera, Zavala, Viniegra, Guardado; Reyna, Hernandez.
