Klinsmann’s U.S. national team roster for World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica

Ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica on Friday in Kingston and Sept. 11 in Columbus, Juergen Klinsmann has named a 25-man U.S. national team roster.

Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake).

Defenders: Carlos Bocanegra (Racing Santander), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Steve Cherundolo (Hanover), Maurice Edu (Stoke City), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), Michael Orozco Fiscal (San Luis), Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland), Jonathan Spector (Birmingham City).

Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Joshua Gatt (Molde), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), Brek Shea (FC Dallas), Jose Torres (Pachuca), Danny Williams (Hoffenheim), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City).

Forwards: Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna), Clint Dempsey (Tottenham Hotspur), Herculez Gomez (Santos Laguna).

Of note: Roma MF Michael Bradley, Los Angeles Galaxy MF-F Landon Donovan and Tijuana D Edgar Castillo are injured. ... The squad began to gather in Miami today for practice through Wednesday before traveling to Jamaica. Friday’s match will kick off at 8 p.m. ET and appear on beIN Sport, the new soccer channel available on DirecTV and DISH Network (cable carriers pending).
