Matchnight #22: D.C. United vs. Whitecaps

Rookie goalkeeper Joe Willis will make his MLS debut Saturday night when D.C. United faces the Vancouver Whitecaps at RFK Stadium. The 6-foot-5 keeper from the University of Denver received the nod ahead of veteran Steve Cronin, who didn’t perform well in a relief appearance last weekend.

Bill Hamid, the No. 1 goalie on the roster, is serving a one-game suspension after receiving a red card in the seventh minute against Toronto FC.

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET.

TV: Comcast SportsNet/DC, Direct Kick.

DCU LINEUP: Willis; Kitchen, McDonald, Jakovic, Woolard; Najar, Simms, Quaranta, Pontius; De Rosario, Davies. Subs: Cronin, White, Burch, King, da Luz, Wolff, Brettschneider.
